Eligibility Criteria for Indian Air Force Recruitment 2018

Educational Qualification:

• For Airman Group X (Except Education Instructor Trade): Candidates have passed Intermediate/10+2 or an equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English OR Passed Three-year Diploma Course in Engineering in the relevant stream from a Government recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in aggregate, and 50% marks in English in Diploma (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course.

• For Airman Group Y (Except Automobile Technician, GTI, IAF (P), IAF(S) and Musician) Trades: Candidates should have passed Intermediate/10+2 or an equivalent examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central/State Education Board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

• For Airman Group Y Medical Assistant Trade Only: Candidates should have passed Intermediate/10+2 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

Age Limit

Candidates should be born between 14-07-1998 to 26-06-2002.

Pay scale

Candidates will get below pay scale after completing training as follows:

• For Airman Group X (Except Education Instructor Trade): Rs. 33,100
• For Airman Group Y (Except Automobile Technician, GTI, IAF (P), IAF(S) and Musician) Trades:  Rs. 26,900

Application Fee

All candidates have to pay Rs. 250 through Axis Bank Challan or online mode using Net-banking/Credit or Debit Card.

Selection Process

Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of Written test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Adaptability Test, Interview performance and Medical Examination.
